JIQ Special: Low-carbon transition pathways in livestock farming in the Netherlands

JIQ Special TRANSrisk livestock coverTRANSrisk project, 26 September 2016 updated for COP22 side-event, 18 November 2016

The JIQ Magazine issue of October 2016 includes an article on 'Assessing the side-effects of low carbon transition pathways in livestock farming in the Netherlands'. An elaborated version of this article has been published as JIQ Special: pdfJIQ_Special_Sept2016_TRANSrisk_livestock_pathways.pdf596.05 KB. A Dutch language version is also available, see below. Within the TRANSrisk project one of the Dutch case studies focuses on low-carbon transitions in the livestock sector. The article considers two transition pathways: Integrated Manure Management (IMM), and reduction of livestock.

The case study on low-carbon transition pathways in livestock farming is also presented by Eise Spijker at the TRANSrisk side-event at the UNFCCC climate change conference COP22 in Marrakesh, 18 November 2016. An updated and extended version of the JIQ Special has been published as a handout for the side-event: pdfJIQ_Special_COP22_TRANSrisk_livestock_pathways.pdf1.04 MB.
