Netherlands Government hosts National Climate Change Conference - Let’s bring Paris home

In December 2015, 195 countries agreed that global average temperature increase should remain below 2oC. In the Netherlands, several low-emission initiatives have been undertaken, but more is needed at a faster pace. Deputy Minister for the Environment Ms Sharon Dijksma: "We need every single measure we can think of to fight global warming."

This is why the Dutch National Conference on Climate Change of 26 October in Rotterdam will focus on concrete actions.

Next to a plenary programme, the conference will host over 40 breakout sessies with private and public initiatives to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in the Netherlands.

JIN is co-organising a break-out session on a Green Deal for setting up a National Carbon Trading Market in non-ETS sectors in the Netherlands. More information can be found on the breakout session page.
